Open-source tools for Java and Spring Boot.

These are the libraries I keep needing in real projects, so I turned them into open source. If something looks useful, try it, open an issue or send a pull request.

  • beanguard

    Licensing system for Java/Spring Boot. Licences are doubly-encrypted JWTs (RS256-signed, AES-256-GCM-encrypted). Includes a server, admin panel, customer shop, client library and docs. Open-core: client under Apache 2.0, the rest under BSL 1.1.

  • beanquery

    Whitelist-first REST query API over JPA entities. Annotate fields, get /metadata and /query endpoints with an AND/OR filter tree, operator allowlists, pagination and an authorization hook. Apache 2.0.

    Spring Boot auto-configuration: users and groups, JWT auth, audit log, @DistributedScheduled jobs, background tasks and dynamic parameters. Pre-release, Apache 2.0.

Earlier work

Before Spring Boot there was C++ and electronics: snooker3d (3D snooker in OpenGL with DirectSound), neuralnetwork (digit recognition), schoolclock (an AVR school clock from 2002, still in use) and arduino-pump-controller.
